Founding Staff Engineer, Platform
Lead the core platform — adapter layer, event orchestration, multi-tenant data — that every agent and operator console sits on top of.

About the role
You’ll own the foundations: adapter layer for channels and smart-locks, event-driven orchestration for long-running agent workflows, per-tenant isolation at the database level. You’ll pair directly with the founders on architectural decisions that will stick for years.
What you’ll do
- Design and evolve the multi-tenant data model and isolation guarantees
- Build and operate the event-driven backbone that runs all agent workflows
- Own observability, retries, and human-in-the-loop checkpoints across the platform
- Mentor the first engineering hires and set the bar for code, review and on-call
What we’re looking for
- 8+ years building production distributed systems at senior or staff level
- Hands-on experience with event-driven architectures and async orchestration
- Strong opinions on multi-tenant isolation, data modelling and migrations
- Comfortable operating what you ship — on-call, SLOs, incident response
Nice to have
- Shipped SOC 2 / GDPR controls inside a product
- Worked with agentic or LLM-backed systems in production
- Prior experience in hospitality, logistics or other ops-heavy domains
